Seems long ago now that we got our studio built, and even longer since we last fired pots back in Calgary, but things are looking up. The big kiln (6.5 cu. ft.) is restored, with a new lid and an ITC213/100 ceramic coating protecting the new elements and fire bricks; the electricity supply is in place; the glaze materials lined up; and some pots are ready to be bisqued. Just waiting for the last component for the kiln controller (bit like the inevitable last bug in the computer program -- the one you can never quite get rid of!). We did sell a car to make room in the garage for the glaze mixing and related activities. Pottery takes a lot of room.

But how could it all take soooo... long? Well, we've been living life as well.
