- On any page, click ‘Login/Register’ in the top menu.
- Click on the button: ‘Join us now, it’s free!’
- Fill in the basic form. Your ‘Name’ should be your real first name and last name, or just your initial and last name. Your ‘Username’, which you will use to log in, should also be your real name in some form, as it will often be visible and associated with your work on the site. Select a password and make sure you keep track of it. A good password contains upper and lower-case letters as well as one or more numerals.
- Check the box beside “I have read and agree to the terms & conditions.” If you don’t know what these are, follow the link and read them.
- Recaptcha – type the letters to show the system you’re a real human being. Click ‘Next’.
- Fill in the info form. Most are items are optional, but let people know what disciplines you work in, how you see your work and your own life story. Click ‘Next’.
- Upload an image of your actual face. (It’s easy.) Click to finish.
- Open the email which has just been sent you to authenticate your new account.
- Join a group (see What are groups and How do I join a group) according to the media you work in. For example, if you’re a photographer and painter, join the photography and painting groups. This is how people will find you on the site.

11) If all this seems too much then just send us the information by email, and we’ll get you started. This may mean uploading your initial content or suggesting someone who can do it for you. (Further editing isn’t available as a free service.)
